East Trout Pond Development Plans

The Alberta Conservation Association recently approved a grant application for pond improvements at the East Trout Pond in Lacombe in 2021. This lesser known pond is located behind the Lacombe Police Station.

The plans include the installing aeration for a healthier year-round fish habitat. Casting platforms will also be built and a foot bridge to allow anglers to walk the full perimeter of the pond.

Although the City of Lacombe has plans to improve access to the Pond, the best way to access currently is to park your vehicle on 53 Avenue and walk in via the land located between the Lacombe Police Station and Agrai-Dairy Mart. Ltd.
